Eutelsat says it was distributing 35 HDTV channels on its satellites at the end of March, or over twice as many as 12 months earlier.
The operator has also posted revenues of €223.9 million for the quarter ending March 31, 2008, 8.9% more than in the same quarter last year.
Video applications contributed €164.9 million to the total, as opposed to €148.8 million in 2007, and helped raise the total number of channels in the year to March 31, 2008 by almost 20%.
Eutelsat has revised its revenue objective for the fiscal year 2007-8 upwards from €850-860 million to €860-870 million.
