WDR starts HD tests on Astra

German public broadcaster WDR from Cologne has started test transmission on the Eins Festival HD transponder on Astra at 19.2° East.
The Westdeutscher Rundfunk had earlier said it would launch test transmissions in order to prepare for regular broadcasts. The Eins Festival HD transponder has been used during the past year for special HD showcase [...]
